I spent a lot of my time traveling for work, entertaining clients, late night supper and drinks. I didn’t know how unhealthy I was until I was forced to climb the stairs due to a lift malfunction, and it dawned upon me that I was very out of shape. My addiction to a pack of cigarettes a day was also killing my heart and lungs.

 

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you” First thing my personal trainer told me when I met him, he told me the workout is going to be the fun part and the diet is going to be the tough part. Together, Tim worked with me on my lifestyle, diet and training. I started seeing results after 5 weeks. First it was my colleagues who started asking about my arms, then my wife started commenting that my chest is noticeably more chiselled.

 

This was almost a dream come true. But my real achievement to my family was me saying no to both alcohol and cigarettes. I couldn’t have accomplished this change of lifestyle without Tim’s relentless nagging and support. Not only is he my personal trainer, but also a friend, thank you.

Thara has a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NUS but she decides to follow her passion and join the fitness industry instead. Her passion propelled her to become a winner in female bodybuilding at Asian levelin 2013 and 2014. In gratitude, she passed on her knowledge and has trained many athletes, both female and male, for bodybuilding, physique and bikini contests.

Since then, Thara has never look back, 12 years of experience in the fitness industry, voted twice while as top trainer of with Celebrity. Her down to earth attitude and success in helping numerous clients achieve their fitness goalshas led her to be very popular in the fitness industry, and now she is with teamUAF personal training team.
