Jovin was meticulous in training me to work on body parts that needed more attention. By the 3rd month I could see my chest and arms becoming more defined. By the 5th month, when comparing earlier photos, I couldn't believe that was me in the past. My confidence grew with a changed lifestyle.
I cut out alcohol and got into a good diet regime with “cheat meals". It is positively reinforcing and shows that a good fat loss diet is not just about eating boiled chicken breast and eggs every meal.

Rina is very friendly, easygoing and gave me all sorts of advice from nutrition, meal prepping, home fitness routines and even fitness wear brand recommendations throughout our time together. She was very flexible with changing of session dates/times and for a complete newbie to fitness like me, she was very patient and gave me clear instructions. The routine she developed for me every session was doable and never too intimidating; I never felt bad after my sessions, although my legs could be jelly! I could also see visible improvement as the sessions went on in terms of the physical aspect, and my goals of weight loss, muscle toning, posture improvement and increased flexibility were all met to an extent. For someone who had been leading a sedentary lifestyle for the past few years, Rina as my first personal trainer gave me accountability, motivation and assurance. I knew I wouldn’t be able to sustain anything too intensive (be it diet or workouts), and Rina also arranged my workouts to be progressively harder in a slow and steady manner, so that my mental was protected 😂 Planning to continue at least another 10-20 sessions with Rina to hit my final weight and body goals, as well as learn how to use gym equipment effectively and safely by myself. All in all I recommend trying Rina out as your personal trainer if you like someone easygoing and flexible! She doesn’t micromanage, so if you’re someone who has some initiative and willingness to ask questions, Rina will be a comfortable fit for you in my experience :) Urban Active also has some of the more affordable PT packages, from what I know! Personal tip: imo for PT newbies, you definitely need to attend a trial session or two to figure out if your personality (or vibe, you get what I mean) meshes well together with your trainer.
